Sleep apnea or sleep apnoea is the condition which causes sufferers to stop breathing frequently during sleep. These interruptions can last anything from a few seconds to a couple of minutes. There are three forms of sleep apnea Central, Obstructive and Mixed or Complex Apnea. Obstructive apnea is by the most common form and it usually comes about in overweight, middle-aged men.

The most commonly recommended method of overcoming obstructive apnea is weight loss, but as this is not simple for most overweight people, the most common treatment is CPAP, which means the wearing of an oxygen mask.

The problem with sleep apnea is that the shortage of breath means that the blood and the brain are starved of oxygen. When the level of oxygen in the brain drops to a certain level, it wakes the body up to do something about it. However, the heart normally beats more slowly at night, giving it a rest, but as the oxygen level in the blood drops, the heart will pump harder to send more blood and oxygen to the areas it is most needed.

Another effect is that people suffer from fatigue during the day, which leads to falling asleep at the wheel and accidents at work. In fact, sufferers of apnea are three times more probable to have an accident than normal.

Sufferers of apnea hardly ever wake up when their brain gets them breathing again, but it can be very distressing for their partners. My wife thought that I had passed away when she first became aware of my difficulty with obstructive sleep apnea and the spluttering back to a state of breathing resembles a drowning man coming up for the second time.

Other worries that can arise after a night of poor sleep are those associated with tiredness: irritability, mood swings, bad concentration, headaches, excessive anxiety, depression, acid reflux, nocturnal sweating, lack of sex drive and increased heart rate at night.

Most instances of obstructive apnea can be vastly improved by a loss in weight. In fact, a ten percent loss of weight can produce a twenty-five percent improvement in apnea. Moreover, anything that relaxes the muscles should be avoided – particularly alcohol. Ceasing smoking can help as well.

Mechanical means of improving the condition are raising the head, so that the weight on your neck hangs down towards the chest rather than pressing down on the windpipe. Sleeping on your side can help as well for the same reason.

Black African males and Indian (from India) males are almost twice as much at risk of suffering from apnea as Caucasians. Approximately 4% of Caucasian males and 2% of Caucasian females suffer from sleep apnea. A surprising statistic is that the same percentage of Chinese men and women suffer from apnea as Caucasians. This is startling because the Chinese are not normally as overweight as Caucasians.

The terms ‘apnea’ and ‘apnoea’ mean the same; the former being the American spelling and the latter being the English spelling.

Everybody knows what a headache is from personal experience, but some individuals suffer from headaches a lot more often that others or what may be considered usual. There are quite a few different forms of headache, but by far the largest group is that of tension headaches.

Most individuals who have had a tension headache describe it as like having a very tight headband on. A trait of tension headaches is that the pain encircles the whole head: front, back and sides. However, the pain can also be in the back of the neck and even in the shoulder blades or collar bone region.

Usually, the pain is fairly mild when compared with other kinds of headaches. Tension headaches most often last for about thirty minutes, but they can go on for days non-stop or they can come and go for a long period of time.

There is also a chronic form of this type of headache called chronic tension headache, which roughly means that the sufferer has the headache for more than fifteen days a month over a period of seven months.

Because the term ‘tension headache’ is a sort of blanket term, the way that people experience it can vary quite a lot. Some individuals take it in their stride and others find it a real impediment to their lives. A lot of individuals experience these headaches from the early morning or even as soon as they wake up.

Some of the symptoms sufferers of tension headaches have reported are: insomnia, which brings tiredness and frequently irritability with it; inability to concentrate; loss of appetite and painful neck and shoulder muscles.

These headaches have nothing in common with migraine (except that the pain is in the head). The two forms of tension headache are known as: episodic and chronic.

You can try to cure episodic headaches if you feel the need to on an ad hoc basis with either tablets or tension relief techniques. Typical headache tablets are aspirin and paracetamol. Typical tension relief methods are yoga and meditation.

Sufferers from the chronic form of tension headache, however, ought to seek medical advice in order to find out if their is a significant underlying cause for the condition. Sometimes, the cures people take can become the cause of their condition procuring worse.

Regrettably, some people who suffer from episodic headaches often take so much medicine that it worsens the condition. In this case, stopping taking headache remedies can reduce the number of headaches you have.

Women suffer from tension headaches more frequently than men do and middle-aged women more often than other age ranges which has led to speculation that a general cause could be hormonal. However, there are so many possible causes that it is hard to say.

Some people find that some foodstuffs trigger a headache occasionally. Coffee or anything containing caffeine is cited as one. Dairy food has also been blamed by individuals; alcohol by others. If you suffer headaches more frequently than your friends, try keeping a diary of what you have been eating for a week or two and note when you have the headaches. Is there a pattern? If you cannot sort it out by not eating certain foodstuffs, go to the doctor, but take your notes with you too.

Snoring is thought of as a ‘benign difficulty’ by most persons who snore. A bit of a joke actually. But it is no joke to people who have to listen to it. No joke at all. Snoring can also be a sign that there is a deeper difficulty. It is similar to obstructive sleep apnoea, but is not automatically the same.

It is similar to obstructive sleep apnoea too in that the sufferer is hardly ever aware of the problem – that is left to a sleeping partner or everyone else in the house.

Deprivation of sleep might sound like bad luck or something that can be caught up on the next day, but in actual fact it goes far deeper than that. Those who have not had a decent night’s sleep find it hard to concentrate and might even nod off. This is naturally not a sensible idea if you are a driver.

Sleep apnoea causes a loss of quality sleep on a frequent basis and so it is no surprise that sufferers of obstructive sleep apnoea run three times more risk of a driving accident or a major accident at work than others. That is horrific enough, but the sleeping partner of a sufferer of obstructive sleep apnoea runs the same increased risk.

Apnoea also exerts more strain on the heart and is a major issue in high blood pressure. It also starves the brain of oxygen with whatever effects that may have.

There are a number of methods of treating snoring (apnoea is usually treated with an oxygen mask known as CPAP).

There are nose strips which stop the walls of the nose collapsing and reverberating, if that is your problem. There are extraordinary pillows that raise the head reducing the weight of a heavy neck on the windpipe. There are dental appliances to stop the tongue and other parts slipping back into the airway causing an obstruction. There is acupuncture and there is hypnotism.

However, it is worth saying, that most of the loudest snorers are overweight. For these people, the first approach has to be to lose weight, because that will also benefit them in many other ways too.

Individuals find that changing their sleeping position assists with their snoring. The worst position for snoring is lying on your back. Lying on your side is a good way of decreasing snoring as can lying on your front.

The thing to keep in mind is the weight of your skin and flesh weighing down on your windpipe, especially on your throat. There is also the problem of your tongue and palate falling into the back of your throat and either vibrating or blocking the passage – lying on your side or front stops this happening.

I wouldn?t bother so much having my bed partner lie on the sofa in the living room snoring, as I would if he suffered from sleep apnea, a more serious and harmful disorder. This breathing disorder during sleep that is followed by intermittent and shallow breathing can be treated easily if it is found out in time and not mistaken for normal snoring.

Hence it is best to understand what sleep apnea and its indications are, so we can help a loved one that is suffering from the disorder of sleep apnea.

You have to know that untreated sleep apnea could hinder you having good sleep at night and make you feel tired, fatigued, mentally exhausted and least productive on the following day. The breathing pauses could last anywhere between 10 to 20 seconds, occur up to 100 times on the same night. This would reduce the quantity of the deep natural sleep that is essential for the body to function properly physically and mentally during the daytime.

Most of us know the implications of not having a sound night?s sleep and this is no exception for a person with sleep apnea. He/she would suffer from chronic daytime sleepiness, loss of concentration and slow reflexes that could make one have higher risks for accidents.

In addition the long-term results of sleep apnea are grave health disorders like diabetes, high blood pressure, heart disease, stroke, and weight gain.

Look out for symptoms of sleep apnea like loud and constant snoring, choking, gasping, snorting in sleep and long interruptions in breathing. In addition observe if he/she feels tired and sleepy during the day even after protracted hours of sleep at night.

In addition, look out for dry mouth or sore throat on waking up, morning headaches, restiveness, insomnia, grumpiness, bad temper or even depression. Waking up feeling restless, forgetful, with a lack of concentration power and recurrent trips to the toilet at night could be other indications.

On observing these symptoms consult a specialist. He/she will prescribe an overnight stay in a hospital to observe and diagnose sleep apnea. It is best to know that just snoring or some of these indications does not lead to a diagnosis of sleep apnea.

Snoring could be just normal and it does not interfere with the quality and amount of sleep and make one feel chronically tired, sleepy or lack of concentration, all of which could result in accidents. However the onus of diagnosing lies with the specialist.

It is best to take into account that sleep apnea could be of various types. In an episode of obstructive sleep apnea, the soft tissues on the back of the throat relax and obstruct oxygen from entering the lungs during sleep and it causes a brief disturbance of sleep.

However, central sleep apnea is less well-known but more serious and occurs when the brain fails to signal the breath regulating muscles to breathe and this could make one aware than one has woken up. The most serious of sleep apneas is the combination of both these apnea known as complex sleep apnea.

Believe me, sleep apnea could be easily found out in the initial stages with your bed partner?s help. A sleep diary would help him/her record your snoring, gasping, choking, or other uncommon sounds. In addition a video recording of the patient would help you note symptoms of sleep apnea.

Sleepwalking or somnambulance is a bizarre sleep disorder that affects up to fourteen percent of children at some time before they are teenagers. Around a quarter of them will experience more than one episode of sleepwalking. For some reason, more boys than girls sleepwalk but most somnambulists grow out of the problem before they become teenagers.

Sleepwalking is in fact a brain disorder as well as a sleep disorder, but it is a brain disorder of the nervous system which usually corrects itself as the sufferer matures. By way of explanation, usually, when people wake up, the whole body and whole brain wake up together, whereas with sleepwalkers, the mobility part of the brain and the body wakes up, but the cognitive/awareness part of the brain stays asleep, at least for a while.

At least that is one explanation, because as with so many things to do with the brain, no one actually knows, all that can be agreed by everyone, is that the child is still in a deep sleep when it is wandering about.

Whilst the child is wandering around, the eyes are open, but the face seems extraordinarily impassive. The child can see but still trips or stumbles and still bumps into items. Normally, the child will not pay attention to a conversation or react to hearing its name.

The most common time for an bout of sleepwalking to take place is within the first two hours of sleep. The periods of somnambulance normally last from fifteen minutes to two hours and the sleepwalker may get dressed and go outside.

Although it is wise to bring this condition to your doctor’s attention, no remedy is normally necessary other than putting better security on all external doors and locking windows at low level to thwart the child from leaving the house.

They normally grow out of sleepwalking sooner or later. If you child sleepwalks, all you should do is guide it back to bed without waking it up unnecessarily. It is not risky to wake up a sleepwalker, but not necessary either.

Roughly one percent of adults sleepwalk too, and this one percent are not inevitably the ones who sleepwalked as children. Adult sleepwalking usually has other more mundane causes such as stress, anxiety and sleeplessness or even some medical conditions such as epilepsy. When the cause goes away so does the sleepwalking.

Treatments differ considerably relying on the severity of the ‘sleepwalk’. Does the sufferer merely go down and sit in the living room or does the sufferer open the door and go outside where there is heavy traffic? Hypnotism is one treatment.

There are other safety measures that people living with sleepwalkers can or perhaps should take. Because sleepwalkers are prone to bumping into items, make certain there is nothing projecting anywhere that could poke them in the eye. Hang bells or wind chimes in places where they tend to go and on doors that they use in order to alert you that they are on the move.

Lock certain doors with deadbolts and take the key out and finally make certain that all low-level glass is toughed and covered by curtains at night so that they do not attempt to walk through them without first opening them.

We all know that having a cold can give you restless nights, but there are other more serious illnesses that can cause sleeplessness as well. However, it is not only the illnesses themselves but the medications as well can cause restless nights. Some of the most prevalent diseases that can result in an interruption of sleep are: arthritis, kidney disease, mental illness, acid reflux, diabetes, thyroid problems and neurological disorders.

Some types of heart disease can also affect sleep patterns. For instance congestive heart failure and coronary artery disease. These concerns will naturally put the patient under fairly strict medical supervision.

Sufferers of the two heart diseases mentioned above run a high risk of developing obstructive sleep apnoea. Obstructive sleep apnoea is a less serious disease than any heart disease, but it can have significant consequences too, including elevated blood pressure, which makes it difficult if it is not treated.

The difficulty with obstructive sleep apnoea is that sufferers are usually the last to know about it, because it does not really cause the sufferer any distress although it can still have dire consequences.

The only real remedy for obstructive sleep apnoea is either the loss of weight which is not simple for heart patients or the wearing of an oxygen mask at night, which is called CPAP.

Diabetes can result in Restless Leg Syndrome, which involves the involuntary thrashing about of the legs during sleep. This leads to a very restless night for both the sufferer and the partner as the kicks can be fairly violent – certainly enough to kick a football. Thyroid issues can lead to nocturnal sweating which can make the sufferer feel hot, damp and unpleasant

Neurological disorders like Parkinson’s, Alzheimer’s epilepsy and strokes can make the sufferer have problems with REM sleep and insomnia. Those who have had a stroke may also suffer from obstructive sleep apnoea.

Sufferers of asthma and other respiratory diseases will have concerns sleeping. Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease will cause insomnia and sleep fragmentation.

Mental health problems such as depression, SAD’s and anxiety also lead to sleep disorders – normally also those of sleep fragmentation and insomnia.

GERD and acid reflux cause a burning sensation in the abdomen whilst the sufferer lies down, making it very difficult to sleep during an attack. There are tablets for this that are occasionally effective and raising the head a couple of inches can help as well.

Kidney disease can also cause restless leg syndrome and people with arthritis have difficulty getting to sleep because of the pain.

The point about all these causes of a restless night is that it is the underlying cause that is more serious than the consequence – that is, the sleeplessness. These are serious conditions, some of which can be cured. Once the main illness is solved the secondary one will disappear as well.

A surfeit of stress can result in all types of problems both mental and physical. The mental issues that can arise from stress include anxiety attacks, although there can be other reasons for anxiety attacks as well. Furthermore, it appears that the trend of anxiety attacks is on the up. This is possibly because of the increased levels of stress that everyone experiences.

You just cannot escape tales of misery and conflict in the newspapers and on the TV. It seems that news casters take pleasure in in telling us how much trouble we are in from all sorts of things from terrorists to diabetes.

They also never tire of warning us of the risks from paedophiles, rapists and murderers. It is no surprise that everybody is stressed or that some people have converted this stress into anxiety and anxiety attacks or panic attacks.

These attacks are characterized by a sudden sensation of panic for no reason at all or unwarranted anxiety. These anxiety attacks are very upsetting for those who suffer from them regularly.

There are lots of prescription drugs available, but these days many people try to do without drugs, preferring more natural remedies. One detail that many sufferers comment on, is that they feel much worse if they have a hangover.

Not that they have anxiety attacks while they are drinking, but that they get an increased number the following day, if they have a hangover. It follows then, that you may be able to lessen the frequency and the harshness of your panic attacks, if you do not drink too much.

In this vein, sufferers have also noticed that they get more frequent and more severe attacks of anxiety if they are tired or worn out. Getting a good night’s sleep will clearly help, if this is one of the causes of your panic or anxiety attacks.

On the dietary front, vitamin B12 has been pointed to as having a beneficial effect on sufferers. The vitamin B group help the brain to produce serotonin, which is the body’s happy drug. A lack of seratonin can create depression. Therefore, ensure that you get your daily recommended amount (RDA) of vitamins in the B group, especially vitamin B12. B12 is readily available in natural foods, it is even in cornflakes, just make sure that you are in receipt of enough.

Many people have had great amounts of success by limiting their use of sweeteners too. This includes natural sugar, as well as artificial sweeteners like saccharin. In order to obtain the biggest benefit you should try to monitor your mental response to sweeteners. Some may be perfectly OK for you while others may not.

Caffeine has also been linked with anxiety, so it might be worth attempting to do without ordinary tea, coffee and coke, to see if that makes a difference. You could try decaf, if you miss the taste of coffee or herbal teas.

Another suggested home remedy that has provided great benefits is physical activity. If you feel an attack coming on, try to ‘take your mind off it’ by distracting yourself. A simple walk might be enough or a chat with someone.

Most individuals who just have headaches very infrequently perhaps do not comprehend that there are different types of headache. Different sorts of headaches have an effect on different parts of the head and even headaches that have an effect on the same area last different lengths of time. The ones that last the longest, giving almost continuous pain, are called chronic headaches.

Chronic headaches can seem like episodic migraine – a throbbing in the temples – but unlike episodic migraine, chronic headaches can go on for days, weeks, months and even years. One of the causes of chronic headaches is stress.

One of the features of these headaches is that the stress can increase in a vicious circle. That is, stress brings on the headache, then you worry about the headache which causes more stress, which creates more pain and so on. This is a very difficult cycle of events for some people to break out of.

You can even bring on a stress-related chronic headache by worrying that you might have a headache. It is very depressing, because it seems that you just cannot win.

Sufferers of chronic headaches have a miserable time of it and normally make life miserable for everybody around them as well. Therefore, if you are in continuous pain, do something about it.

The first thing to attempt is to discover the reason for your stress or concern. Something is starting your headaches and you probably know what it is.

You have to scrutinize your life and find out what is so upsetting in it. Is it your partner, your career, your neighbours or your children? Is it an illness of yours or a close friend or member of the family? Money and debts? It could be a combination of several causes, in which case, you will have to de-stress them one by one.

This is the only certain method of countering chronic headaches that are caused by stress. You can take tablets to kill the pain and tablets to put you to sleep and tablets to calm you down, but in the long term, you know that they are not actually helping and that feeling will stress you out even more.

Other types of chronic headaches are chronic cluster headaches and chronic tension headaches. Episodic cluster headaches will happen each now and again, but chronic cluster headaches happen a number of times a day for years. Somewhere between 10% an 15% of sufferers from cluster headaches get chronic indications.

There are various names for chronic cluster headaches depending on the severity of the pain.

An episodic tension headache is the most common kind of headache. Everyone gets them from time to time, but a chronic tension headache is when you get periods of pain lasting for at least 15 days in a three month period.

If you suffer from chronic headaches, do not just take medication or do not just sit it out. You require professional advice once you suspect that you have a problem. You could endeavour to tackle it alone by taking up a sport or yoga to reduce your stress and tension, but it actually is better for you to tackle the problem of chronic headaches with the support of a professional.

Owen Jones, the author of this piece, writes on a lot of topics, but is at present concerned with chronic headaches.

Are you thinking of making some extra money on the internet? You definitely would not be the only one. Millions of individuals are turning to the Internet to discover ways of making an extra income from the comfort of their own homes and some are even hoping to be able to give up their day jobs and work online full-time.

There is no place like the Internet. No country can offer the same entry to a global market for such little cost as the Internet. Being online, can cost less than a dollar an hour and for that dollar you can have access to hundreds of millions of people through their computers.. That is access to several tens of millions of people per cent of outlay.

That makes an Internet-based business the most cost-effective in the world and it permits you to operate from a laptop or cyber cafe anywhere in the world. The one thing that working online cannot do for you though is prevent the stress that builds up from owning any business. Therefore, how can you reduce the stresses of running an online business? I do not mean financial stress or delivery problems, they are common to all business models.

Changes occur very quickly on the Internet. A new style or method of doing things can happen within a week or even less, whereas it may take months or even years in a land-based company. This means that you have to devote some time every week to keeping up with ‘current affairs’.

The easiest way of doing this is to subscribe to a few forums. Join say two forums that are relevant to the industry that you are in and one general ‘techie’ forum. That way, you will always be aware of the latest developments and cannot be caught sleeping.

The Internet can be fairly flakey, when you think about it. You might spend years constructing a couple of hundred websites, but if you host goes down, so do you, unless you are ready. In 2009, that happened to me twice, so it is not that unusual. It is very easy for someone to set himself up as a web space reseller, but if he stops paying his bills, he can take hundreds of website owners off line with him and you may not even know it for a few days.

There are a few precautions that you should take to dissolve the stress of going out of online business over night through no fault of your own.

Take regular, very regular backups and do not put all your backups on the same medium. I backup everything every time I alter anything. One day the backup goes to a CD and the next day it goes to a portable hard drive. If I had a large enough flash drive the third day would go there. That way, you can never lose more than two day’s work, and believe me, that is nauseating enough.

Sign all your websites up to a ‘pinging’ service. These services check to see whether your web site is on or off line several times a day robotically and tell you if they are down. You can get this free, but otherwise it costs just pennies per site per month.

Have a second host ready. You can get a year’s hosting for a $60 or a few dollars a month. Have your account open and ready and you could even load your websites on to it, so that if disaster strikes, you only have to change the name servers and you are away again.

We all know that stress is at a very high level for the vast majority of people and most of us have our own methods of dealing with this stress. However, for those who do not know how to cope with stress, it is probably first useful to appreciate what stress is and how it can manifest itself.

Stress is most simply defined as: “A mentally or emotionally disruptive or upsetting condition occurring in response to adverse external influences and capable of affecting physical health, usually characterized by increased heart rate, a rise in blood pressure, muscular tension, irritability, and depression” (TheFreeDictionary.com).

There are many reasons why stress can come about, but the most common forms of stress come from finances, family, work, school, quarrels with friends and driving. The most stressful situations, however, are divorce, the death of a parent or spouse, moving house and changing job or school.

Since the causes of stress are so varied, it is helpful to be able to ascertain where your stress is coming from, so that you know how to treat or prevent it. You need to get to know yourself to cope with your stress, because not all people respond in the same way to stress.

For instance, actors and top-flight business people often say that they need the buzz of stress to give their best performances. They have clearly learned how to harness stress to their own advantage whether unconsciously or by other methods. People who suffer from stress need to get to that phase.

When you have worked out what is causing your stress, you have a prospect of dealing with it. In fact, you have many chances of dealing with it. If the source of the stress is your employment, you may like to go for a drink with colleagues after work to talk things through once or twice a week, so long as you do not let it get out of hand and impinge on your family and your work.

Otherwise, you may go for a massage or a sauna or take regular weekend getaways either for pure relaxation or to follow a specific hobby such as hiking. In fact, a hobby of some kind is generally a good stress-reliever, even if the pastime itself is stressful. Just changing the routine appears to assist a lot of people. Some people turn to shopping and beauty salons.

A weekend picnic, communing with nature, or rambling are other key de-stressers. The point is that you have to find something that is perfect for you. For instance, I work alone all day and detest shopping, so when I have done my bit, I seek out company to have a chat. My wife on the other hand spends all day with people, and likes to hose the garden alone at the end of her working day.

Other major stress relievers are sports – either watching them or playing them. Playing is clearly healthier than watching, but given that stress is a major killer in the West, the reduction of stress is the main concern. Yoga and meditation are a fantastic compromise between being active and passive in your coping with stress.

Owen Jones, the author of this piece, writes on many subjects , but is currently concerned with the stress headache. If you are suffering from any kind of stress, please go over to our website now at Stress and Heart Disease

There are so many types of headache and headaches are so familiar, that there is a very good chance that everyone you know has had them or still gets them. The reasons why people get headaches are just as wide-ranging. It could be stress, over-medication, migraine, lack of calories or tension. One of the worst types is chronic tension headaches.

A normal tension headache feels as if a strap is being done up tightly around your forehead, but they do not have a tendency to last very long and they are few and far between. A chronic tension headache is the same, but it may come every day or even several times a day. A headache is classed as a chronic tension headache if you get a tension headache more than fifteen times in a month for several consecutive months.

Therefore, if you suspect that you are suffering from this type of headache, start to write notes in a diary. When? Where? How bad? How long it lasted? And anything else that you think may be relevant, like what you have eaten or drunken that day and the day before. You may notice a connection to work or diet.

Some sufferers describe the pain as like having a very tight strap wrapped around their head, others say the sensation of constraint goes down as far as their shoulders. In general, sufferers of tension and chronic tension headaches are in agreement, that the pain is strongest in the forehead, then along the sides of the head and occasionally at the back as well.

They say that the normal level of pain is a dull ache which can be mild to moderate in strength. It is more of a nagging, always-on pain than a sharp, distracting pain.

Chronic tension headaches appear to be early risers, that is, some people wake up with them and others say that they start just after they get up in the morning. It is as if the contemplation of the day ahead is just too much too bear. The pain can intensify at certain times of the day, or it can just slowly slip away almost unnoticed.

Chronic tension headaches are nowhere near as common as normal tension headaches, but they are twice as common in women as in men.

The main issue with these headaches, besides the ache itself, is that they become a regular occurrence. You wait for it to happen, you are that sure that it will escort you throughout the day as before. The pain can just become one continuous drag on your life.

For this reason, sufferers of CTH are often vulnerable to depression and anxiety and it is hard to know which came first, the CTH or the depression / anxiety and which is causing which. If you think this could be your problem, do not try to treat the headaches yourself, go to see a doctor about the depression or anxiety, have that sorted out and the chronic tension headaches may disappear too without any additional medication.

Many people with anger management issues attempt to ignore them. By neglecting to talk about their anger or by trying to sweep it under the carpet, these individuals assume that their problem will disappear. However, many families have to try to live normal lives with a person who has anger management problems.

Fathers, mothers and even children can disrupt the entire family due to fits of uncontrollable anger. Some people think that keeping it a secret is the key to deal with it. But, denying the problem and refusing to deal with the anger issue does not solve anything. In fact, ignoring an anger problem for too long, can eventually lead to unnecessary violence and even death.

It is definitely better to accept that you have a problem and set out to solve it. Finding the right course of treatment depends on the individual or family involved, for while some people may choose one-on-one counselling with a counsellor or a psychiatrist, others may feel more comfortable in a support group. What about anger management lessons? This may be an option for a person with serious anger management behavioural problems.

Anger management classes, overseen by a professional in the arena of anger management, provide an chance for people to learn anger management strategies for controlling their anger. Learning how to deal with their anger through lessons such as letting go of unwanted, harmful feelings is one of the goals of anger management classes.

Usually when people feel a headache coming on, they start looking for a medicine that can prevent their headache from becoming much worse. As there are so many different types of headache medicine to choose from, people have to think about what they want the treatment to do.

The headache treatments that are found at the supermarkets and pharmacies come in various forms. You will find that there are tablets you can take, tablets that dissolve under your tongue, nasal sprays, suppositories, and injections that you administer yourself. All of these headache medication are known to work well at preventing your headache from developing into something much worse.

When you reach for headache medication on a supermarket shelf, you have to decide how fast-acting you want the medication to be. We are generally used to taking pills and capsules to cure whatever ailments that we have. We take these types of medications because they are easy to take and easy to carry around with us.

Although these types of headache medicine do work for most people, it takes a little time for the medication to take effect. For this reason any person who has a severe type of headache like a migraine, will not benefit from these tablets or capsules. Also the various fast-developing headaches will not do well either with these medications.

A person who has a tension type headache, a slow-acting migraine attack or a migraine attack without nausea and vomiting, can use these tablets. There are tablets that you can take that get absorbed more quickly into your bloodstream. These so-called ‘sub-lingual’ tablets or lozenges are placed under the tongue, where they are absorbed by the membrane that lines the mouth. These types of headache medicine work a little faster than normal tablets as they are absorbed directly into the bloodstream.

Another way that you can cure your headache is with a nasal spray. These sprays can provide you with quick-acting relief. They are good for headache sufferers who need fast relief and they are also good for people who become nauseous. You may have to test different brands before you get satisfactory results, but these headache medicines are still pretty good.

The best possible pain relief can be got quickly from self injected drugs. However, if you use this type headache treatment you will have to take special care at first, so that you don’t overdose yourself with too much of the headache medication.

Another consideration is whether you can put up with the discomfort that you may first feel when you want to inject yourself. The possible embarrassment about injecting yourself in public with your headache medicine is also something that you will need to think about.

There is a huge amount of headache treatment for those who are looking for ways to cure their headaches. The best method to find an efficacious treatment is to test several products in order to see what works best for you.

Headaches are very widespread amongst people of all ages in both men and women. Sometimes these headaches may be severe and might even take place regularly for long periods of time. The headache might be a ache all over the head or a throbbing pain at on

So, where do you go to get relief from your headaches? Over- the-counter prescription drugs may not always be successful and you may not even be able to recognize the source of your headache. Where then, do you go, find out what the problem is?

The answer is a headache clinic.

Headache clinics can be found all over the country, on occasion as independent clinics and frequently at a range of major hospitals. Headache clinics are well-equipped with all that is required to deal with headaches. These clinics are managed by specialists and neurologists, who are well-trained, so as to be able to recognize the reason for the headache and commence the appropriate treatment for it.

There are several types of headaches varying in severity from cluster and migraine headaches to mild headaches. It is therefore imperative to see a specialist as sometimes general practitioners may not be able to identify precisely what form of headache you are suffering from. Independent headache clinics would inform you if you require special care or if you have to be hospitalized, often sending you to a specific hospital.

Headache clinics take in patients after a brief appraisal of the history of your headaches, posing questions such as: how long you have been getting them, the rate of recurrence of the headaches and what treatment, if any, you have acquired, and possibly other questions that may be relevant to understanding your headache more thoroughly. These clinics also offer behavior therapy if necessary. Most headache clinics offer both inpatient and outpatient treatment.

Moreover, sometimes headaches can be the symptom of a more serious problem such as a brain tumor, and it is best if such situations are diagnosed at an early stage. Your primary care physician can refer you to a well-known headache clinic if you want to receive special treatment for your headaches.

To attend a headache clinic, your headaches do not have to be regular. Even the sporadic, but excruciating headache may necessitate a visit. You may need specialist treatment for your headache, so its best for you to see a specialist at one of these headache clinics as soon as convenient.

Headaches of any type are always painful for the sufferer. However, some headaches, like migraines, for instance, can create even more problems than just a headache. These problems could be sickness, sensitivity to light and a throbbing pain in the head. Sometimes the headache acts on one side of the head, and other times you can feel the pain on both sides of the head at the same time.

The actual causes of migraine headaches has yet to be found, although there are a few theories why people experience migraine headaches. The most commonly held belief is that a change in the blood flow within the brain is one of the triggers that causes migraine headaches. Another theory about migraine headache is that maybe it could be caused by pain sensing chemicals called neuropeptides.

Many medical professionals speculate that neuropeptides relax the smooth muscle that surrounds the cranial blood vessels. This relaxation causes the blood vessels to dilate. This blood vessel relaxation increases the flow of blood and other cranial fluid to the brain. This increase in fluids is thought to be the cause of migraine headaches.

These cranial fluids cause inflammation, pain, sensitivity, tissue and blood vessel swelling during the time of the migraine headaches. Some people think that the aura that is sometimes seen during a migraine headache is caused by the constriction of the blood vessels that became dilated during the beginning period of the migraine headache.

Another theory about the reason for migraine headaches has been associated with the genetics of inheritance. These theories say that a child of migraine sufferers will have a 50% probability of having migraine headaches too.

The chances of having migraine headaches becomes even greater if both parents are sufferers from this painful sort of headache. If both parents have frequent migraine headaches the chances of the child having migraine headache symptoms rises to about 70%.

Even though some professionals are persuaded that inheritance plays a big role in migraine headaches, the genes that are considered to be the causes of migraine headaches have not been identified or even isolated yet. When we start to experience migraine headaches the only warning signs that we may expect to receive are a throbbing pain in the temple area and light sickness.

As the symptoms of your migraine progress, the pain of the headaches become more severe. Unfortunately, since the causes of migraine headaches have not been discovered and we don’t know what triggers these attacks, there are no medications to cure these headaches yet.

I’m sure we all know what stress is and how we behave when we are experiencing a stressful period. Some people can cope excellently with the pressures that obstacles bring with them. Other individuals become overcome by the tremendous strain that they are experiencing. In many individuals this pressure manifests itself in the form of stress headaches.

Stress headaches are primarily caused by extreme amounts of stressful situations; ie more than an individual would usually find themselves involved in. Ability to deal with these obstacles gradually diminishes and so stress begins to take its toll on them and a stress headache can start.

Sometimes, having other types of headache can cause stress headaches due to the reason that we have to deal with the headache and get on with our daily life. As the pain from the headache seems to take control of our life, we start to feel stressed and unable to cope. All of these headaches (including stress headaches) can be controlled safely and, in some cases, prevented from recurring with the correct medicine.

There are other methods of coping with stress headaches apart from using drugs. These other methods include: cognitive therapy, behavioural therapy and physical therapy.

Cognitive therapy seeks to redirect a stress headache. In this method, the patient is taught to understand what triggers the stress symptoms and how they can alter their response to these situations.

Behavioural therapy is the next method of curing a stress headache. When people feel stressed by a particular situation, they try dealing with their headache by consuming medication, alcoholic drink, prescription tranquilizers, pain medications and some people also take street drugs. As taking these substances will only provide short-time help, it is better to show them the tools to build a healthy lifestyle, which will help that person to cope better with their stress headaches.

Physical therapy tries using biofeedback responses. Individuals, who experience stress headaches, are taught to recognize and reduce the amount of physical tension in their bodies. The treatments that are employed for this method are muscle relaxation, deep breathing, yoga and other self-relaxation techniques. It is easy to see what effect these measures have on sufferers of stress headaches, as these techniques relax and calm the body.

The different methods of therapy that were discussed above are all interrelated. However, using all three of these therapies, in addition to headache medication, will afford the individual a type of relief that can help them for the rest of their lives and not just the short period when they are experiencing a stress headache.

There is plenty of relevant anger management help. First and foremost it is imperative to understand anger and the consequences of anger. Anger management help will not work without knowing what it is an individual is attempting to change or manage. Anger is totally normal. It is a reaction to confrontational situations.

It is all right to be angry, but when this anger boils over frequently, it can cause severe problems: that is problems within the family, within other relationships, at school or work and it can also cause health issues. People who cannot manage their anger in a positive way are liable to transfer their anger onto other situations such as child and spousal abuse, violent crimes and other types of criminal, anti-social activity. Anger management help is something an individual ought to consider when people recognize that they have a problem.

There are all types of anger-provoking situations, but there is also plenty of anger management help that might be used when working through anger-related issues. Some people become really mad and even angry when they become frustrated by a situation. This can happen when something doesn’t work out the way they planned or they failed to succeed after giving the task their all. Situations like these may result in a person becoming frustrated. This frustration may lead to anger which can then turn into a whole catalogue of anti-social consequences.

Irritation, anxiety and frustration often invoke anger or even rage. Normal, every day occurrences such as habitual reminders or regular interruptions or delays can cause a person to become irritated. This irritation grows and grows and the result can be a sudden blast of rage or fury. Depending on the individual, this anger can cause a person to resort to different ways of releasing their anger, some of which may be painful to themselves and / or others around them.

When somebody is being verbally abused or perhaps even sexually harassed, it is easy to see that anger can be the result. People deal with these disturbing experiences differently but for those who become angry because of the abuse, the outcome could be very serious and even violent. Anger management help in such a situation is imperative, especially in a situation where a person feels threatened.

If someone is accused unfairly, it often provokes feelings of anger. Often when people are blamed for something, whether rightly or wrongly, it can cause them to get angry and behave irrationally. There is a huge amount of information in society that can be important to properly understanding anger management. The more knowledge a person can gather, the better equipped they are if they are confronted with circumstances involving an angry individual or even if they require anger management help themselves.

Anger management help is available through many sources such as books, pamphlets, doctors’ surgeries, movies and the Internet. For a person who requires anger management help, the Internet is an excellent source of information. Many websites are dedicated to providing anger management help and the Internet is very well placed for supplying the information required about anger, the consequences of anger, why people are affected by anger and anger management help.

Without the appropriate anger management help, it would be difficult to begin a course of treatment that would be beneficial. It doesn’t matter where the anger management help comes from. It does matter however, what an individual does with the assistance they are given. Reading and studying the information is essential but deciding what to do with this anger management help will make the difference in resolving anger-related issues or not.

Dealing with anger is seldom easy, since people are always facing problems and reasons for conflict. Nevertheless our anger management technique is vital We have to deal with price increases, arguments, war, violence, crime, everyday common stupidity and continuous interruptions. There is not one single person in this often problematic world that has not gotten quite angry at some time or another.

Anger is a feeling that we all have to cope with. But anger comes in many forms: the root of anger is hatred, anxiety or frustration as a result of previous deception or disappointment, comes from bad anger management technique. This is true. However, true or not, even in the Bible it says that when Adam and Eve were created on Earth, the first problem was when Satan, in the form of a snake, lied, deceiving Eve. Once that lie became apparent, the world started suffering many problems, including violence, murder, war, shortages, disease, weather disasters and so forth.

Ever since that first lie, the world has become more and more chaotic and continues to worsen as the years go by. We can examine how a lie can instigate anger by looking at an individual case. A person engaged in criminal activities, such as stealing, writing bad checks, and selling prescription medications. Now this person felt she had to use deception, since she felt that her behaviour and actions were her only means of survival.

So, she started lying to cover up her wrong-doing. As time went by, that person became angry and could not cope, solely as a result of the way she was behaving, her way of thinking, the way she was conducting her life and her poor anger management technique. The person began to react like anyone else suffering from uncontrolled anger would behave.

This included, demeaning others, insulting others, verbally and physically assaulting, threatening, belittling and mocking others. The woman was diagnosed with mental disorders, Post traumatic Stress Disorder and Bipolar. She also had health issues, including diabetes. Now, if we take a look at all the aspects of that person’s frustration and anger management technique, we see, if we search deep enough that her lying, which had caused the paranoia, was the root cause of all her behavioral problems.

A lot of people have a problem with their anger management technique. Many of the people with post-traumatic stress disorder react angrily because they are reacting to a flashback in memory. That is right! People with post traumatic stress disorder often repress their emotions and when they are violent or angered, it is often the result of fighting the sources that caused their trauma and not the person in their immediate presence.

However, we do not see this as the reason for the woman’s anger, since she did not show signs of it to the public. Therefore, people would exclude posttraumatic stress disorder as the cause, or at least skip over the possibility of it. Now let’s take a look at diabetes, since this illness affects the nerves. The shortage of insulin creates additional problems, and many people with diabetes will become upset for little or no reason at all.

However, most people do not act angrily, assault, insult or attack others . If we look at why crimes are committed, we see that very often, serious behavioural problems come from having told lies. Therefore, when we look at this woman’s situation again, we can see that we have to think about the underlying problems that is her lying and get her to move on, avoiding bouts of frustration, anxiety and anger by using some form of anger management technique.

However, this person is in denial, which means that until the legal system forces her to study anger management technique, she probably will not get help herself. In addition, even if the criminal justice system does insist she gets help, it probably won’t work, because she has been in denial for probably many years. So, now we are dealing with a real problem in anger management technique , since her behaviour is life long, which means extensive therapy isneeded.

Anger is an emotion, but when it interferes with another persons life, it is a serious problem. This person is not hurting only one person, she is hurting everyone, since when she steals or writes bad cheques, society pays with tax increases, as well as other increases. One of the biggest problems I have noticed with this type of person, is that the system and society will allow it to continue; only addressing it when the person is caught. Once the person is released then it continues again. This is a chain of events involving lack of control due to anger mis-management and bad anger management technique.

‘Manic Depression’, or ‘Bipolar Disorder’, is thought to be one of the worst kinds of depression people regularly suffer from. It is characterized by sudden and extreme mood swings. Manic depression is so-named because manic refers to ‘mania’, which refers to the ‘ups’ while depression refers to the ‘downs’. Bi-polar also refers to both ends of the spectrum of emotions

A lot of people experience erratic changes in their moods and, sometimes, these so-called mood swings are not just because of PMS (pre-menstrual syndrome) or stress. Doctors have diagnosed mood swings as a common symptom of depression, if these mood swings become severe. For example, if someone becomes annoyed because a shop does not have his favourite biscuits, it may only a sign of a spoilt childhood, but when getting annoyed also means that that person will shout and swear at the shop keeper, it could represent the start of Manic Depression.

The ‘manic’ periods or ‘ups’ in Manic Depression (or Bi-polar Disorder) are described as the times when a person who has Manic Depression experiences excessively high periods, exemplified by heightened energy, sudden outbursts of euphoric mood, extreme irritability, together with racing thoughts and aggressive behaviour. Therapists say that, someone suffering from Manic Depression may have these so-called manic ‘periods’ not just for a day or so, they can actually go on for a week or more.

During the ‘low’ or ‘down’ periods, people suffering from Manic Depression may experience very similar symptoms to those who are suffering from ‘normal’ depression. People who are suffering from Manic Depression experience episodes showing a depressed state of mind – including feelings of lack of self worth and being unloved.

There are many other signs too: irrational guilt, extreme sadness, anxiety attacks, feeling of not belonging, severe pessimism and an obvious loss of pleasure. According to therapists, anyone who is depressed continuously for more than a week can be officially diagnosed as a Manic Depressive.

Despite it being one of the most common and severe types of depressive disorder, Manic Depression can actually be treated, according to therapists. There’s no reason to worry too much about having it, just follow the procedures that the therapist tells you and take the prescribed medication in the proper dosage in order to help you (or your friend or love one) overcome Manic Depression before it becomes too late.

Also, individuals who suffer from Manic Depression should visit their therapists regularly, in order to be able to release their repressed emotions to someone who is able interpret just what it is they are going through a lot better than an ordinary, untrained person.

Although positive results for Manic Depression can be obtained from natural alternatives, a proper and a more lasting relief from Manic Depressive symptoms can best be achieved through seeing a cognitive behaviour therapist. Contrary to some beliefs, when it comes to psychiatric treatments, psychiatrists, preferably cognitive behaviour therapists are still the best ones to consult for a lasting cure for Manic Depression.

A lot of people that over extend themselves, use up not only all their physical strength, but they also tend to over extend their mental powers to the point where they obviously need some old fashioned time off.

Very many people that over extend themselves, exhaust not only all their physical strength, but they also tend to over extend their mental powers to the point where they obviously need some old fashioned time out.

Many busy people who are unable to understand the idea of relaxing and taking time of from work, as well as from their worries, have nervous breakdowns, anxiety depression and all sorts of mental illnesses that cause a person’s sanity to waver. Luckily, if you are one of those people who is unable to relax and who is always worried and fussing over things, there are various cures and treatments available for dealing with anxiety depression.

Anxiety depression is actually notable for all sorts of strange behaviour and erratic mood swings in the person who is suffering from it. This is usually due to specific stress triggers. Also, a lot of people who tend to get easily worked up over stressful situations are actually prone to having anxiety depression. It is actually a matter of being strong-willed when it comes to facing difficult and stressfull activities. It may be pretty hard to do at first, but trying to be calm and cool in times of extreme pressure is what will save your mental health from going into a downward spiral.

When it comes to effectively curing yourself of a mental illness, you must keep in mind that one must be honest with yourself and assess what kind of depression or mental illness one suffers from. Go to a reputable psychiatrist to get yourself diagnosed properly as well to get the correct depression treatment. Here are the various kinds of depression:

Manic or Bipolar depression – characterized by sudden and extreme changes in one’s mood where one minute the sufferer is in an elevated state of euphoria while the next minute (day or week) the sufferer is in a personal hell.

Postpartum depression – is characterized by lengthy periods of sadness and a feeling of emptiness in a new mother where physical stress during child birth and / or an undefined sense of responsibility towards the new born baby are just some of the possible factors why some new mothers go through this illness.

Dysthimia – characterized by a slight resemblance to bipolar depression, although in this case, it has been proven to be a lot less severe. However, any case of depression should be treated immediately.

Cyclothemia – is recognizable by a similarity with Manic or Bipolar depression wherein the individual suffering from this mental disease can occasionally suffer from severe mood swings.

Seasonal Affective Disorder – is recognizable by falling into a rut only in specific seasons (i.e. Winter, Spring, Summer or Autumn). However, studies prove that more people become depressed during the Winter and Autumn seasons. And lastly, mood swings, where a person’s mood can shift from happy to sad to angry in a relatively short period of time.

But the type of depression that has actually been proven to be most common among people is anxiety depression, which is actually characterized by the state of being overly anxious about things. Anxiety is a normal behaviour that’ll actually help a person cope more with certain stressful activities like a first date or a gruelling exam the following day. Anxiety actually helps you get psyched up towards facing certain “difficult situations”; anxiety therefore is actually a good thing.

Anxiety depression however, is just the opposite, but it should not be dismissed as a “case of the nerves”. Anxiety depression is in actuality an illness that can be caused from the biological make-up of an individual, or in other words, it can be an hereditary illness.

Also, there are actually various types of anxiety depression too, each of which has its own unique characteristics. Take for example Generalized Anxiety Disorder or GAD. This kind of anxiety depression is a lot more complicated than the average anxiety depression, in spite of it possibly being a day-to-day problem for those who suffer from this kind of anxiety depression, Generalized Anxiety Disorder actually makes the individual much more paranoid than normal. Anxiety attacks are more frequent, even absurdly so at times.

Suffers can get anxious even when there is no obvious reason for them to behave in such a manner. Those people suffering from Generalized Anxiety Disorder often show several characteristics varying from from lack of sleep, to being unable to relax, becoming tired easily, inability to concentrate and suffering from depression. This kind of anxiety depression is also curable however.

You should consult a reputable cognitive behavioural therapist who will recommend the therapy that you need to help you relax. Furthermore, prescribed medicines are a must to help sufferers combat anxiety attacks, assist them to calm down and help them relax.

Orgasm is supposed to be a pleasurable and positive activity for most people, but it can become painful for those who find that it starts coital headaches. For these people, sexual activity of any kind can result in coital headache attacks.

Technically, a headache, or cephalalgia, is a symptom of various conditions of the head and sometimes the neck too. They can be classified into two main groups: primary or idiopathic, and symptomatic, although there are other ways of classifying them too; for example by severity.

Basically, primary headaches have a known or unknown reason, whereas symptomatic headaches are frequently caused by a previous trauma. Primary headaches include amongst others: migraine, tension headaches, cluster headaches and coital headaches.

Coital headaches, also called coital cephalalgia or sexual headaches, is a rare, but painful type of headache that starts in the nape of the neck during sexual intercourse, but before climax. It can occur in all conditions where climax is the expected result. The pain can move to behind the eyes and can then be even worse. Typically the pain will last from a few minutes to an hour or so, but some cases have been known to continue for days in the worst examples.

It is surprising to many to discover that men are three times more likely to experience coital headaches than women and the people most at risk are those between 20 and 25 and 30 and 44. Doctors do not really understands why this should be. Coital headaches affect about one percent of the population, although this figure could be a lot higher due to people being embarrassed to discuss it.

Coital headaches are benign, meaning that they have no long-term ill effects, as far as we know. It seems that people taking sexual stimulants, like Viagara, are about 10% more at risk to a bout of coital headache. In fact, besides the obvious, temporary pain, the worst effects of coital headaches are differing levels of dizziness, confusion and stiffness of neck.

However, it is still worth while visiting a doctor though, especially in the early cases, just to rule out the more serious causes of headaches, such as brain tumours and blood clots. However, the doctor can do very little to help by way of therapy. He may suggest a complete abstention from any form of sexual activity for a period varying from days to weeks or he may suggest trying taking medication some time before sexual foreplay commences.

A couple of the headache medications that may be used are indomethacin, imitrex, zomig and propranolol, although if the headaches persist, your doctor may prescribe some other preventive medications to be used on a daily basis. Sufferers of frequent coital headaches may also obtain a positive response to migraine preventive medications, such as beta blockers or verapamil. Non-steroidal anti inflammatory drugs (NSAIDS) such as ibuprofen may similarly be helpful. Coital headaches and migraines are also more likely to occur if the person is in poor physical shape.

Nevertheless, the cure for coital headaches for many sufferers can be as simple as bringing your weight up or down to the normal weight for your size. Coital headaches can also be cured in some sufferers by an increased level of exercise, although this may trigger exertion headaches in some people.

Now the good news is that most headaches related to sexual activities are not at all serious in nature. In deed, research actually states that orgasm can stop headaches and even migraine in some instances. This means that for some adults, refusing sex may actually be the cause of their headache in the first place.

There is quite a good chance that someone you know has had some type of headache today, only because there are so many different sorts of headaches about. These kinds of headache may be the result of dehydration, missed meals, migraines or other sorts of headache like a tension headache or even a chronic tension headache.

A tension headache can feel like a tight rubber band around your head, however, the pain from tension headaches goes away after a short time. But imagine having to suffer from a tension headache every day – for weeks. This kind of tension headache is called a chronic tension headache because the pain is experienced at least 15 days a month for a period of several months.

With the case of chronic tension headaches, the symptoms of the headache are similar to those of tension headaches, except that the pain never really seems to go away. People who have had chronic tension headaches, say that the pain is as if they were wearing a tight band around their heads. Other people have described severe chronic tension headache pain as a hooded cape that hangs down over their shoulders.

In the case of both tension headaches and chronic tension headaches, the pain can be felt either in the forehead region, in the sides of the head and sometimes even at the back of the head. At its normal power the chronic tension headache is a dull, aching pain, although sometimes the pain is like a tourniquet. Generally the pain is mild to moderately intense.

The severity of the pain varies with the general physical condition of the individual concerned and it can also vary with the various kinds headaches. A lot of people start to experience chronic tension headaches as soon as they wake up in the morning, although others say that their chronic tension headaches begin in the early hours of the day.

Normal tension headaches are more common than chronic tension headaches, however twice as many women as men suffer from chronic tension headaches. The duration and the severity of the pain is about the same as the normal variety in this sort of headache, however the pain from the chronic tension headache is almost a daily occurrence and is also continuous.

Individuals who get chronic tension headaches are thought to be more prone to anxiety and depression than non-sufferers of chronic tension headaches. It is further known that chronic tension headaches are more common during or after heightened periods of stress and anxiety. Anyone who has mood disorders like depression or anxiety should have these conditions treated before getting their chronic tension headache seen to.

Those suffering from chronic tension headaches can still lead pretty normal and fulfilling lives with the correct medication and treatment. Over time, they may come to understand what starts their headaches and how preventing those triggers occurring can stop the onset of another bout of chronic tension headaches.

There are a fair number of well-known kind of headache. These include, but are not limited to: cluster headaches, migraine headaches, tension headaches, chronic daily headaches, blood pressure headaches, chronic cluster headaches and sinus headaches.

A migraine headache is a severe headache. This sort of headache has been found to have a profound impact on the daily lives of its sufferers. The pain can be a pulsating sensation or sometimes a throbbing kind of head pain. This throbbing pain can be moderate to severe. The symptoms of migraine headaches include nausea, extreme sensitivity to light and sound. With the migraine type of headache there is often an early warning feeling called an aura.

This aura is experienced in the form of changes in visual perception. You may see bright flashes or blurs and sometimes you may even lose part of your vision. You may even experience a numbness or a tingling in your arms. These warning symptoms will dissipate a while before the migraine attack begins. A migraine headache can last for about three days without any treatment, before it subsides.

The kinds of tension headache cause a dull, constant pain in the forehead, the sides or back of the head. Some people compare a tension headache to a tight band wrapped around the head and it is thought to be one of the most common sorts of headache. A tension headache does not create symptoms such as light sensitivity, loss of sight, nausea and vomiting.

Tension headaches can occur as episodic or chronic. Usually, most sufferers of this kind of tension headache, experience chronic headaches. It is estimated that about 40% of people suffer from tension headaches. Chronic daily headaches are yet another of these types of headache.

Most chronic daily headaches are tension headaches or headaches that result from ingesting too much pain medication. With these sorts of headache, the pain is of a constant, dull nature – there can also be a feeling of tightness like a rubber band around the head. A chronic daily headache is diagnosed by its duration: the pain must last for at least 15 days per month during a three month period of time.

Another sort of headache is the Cluster headaches. This is a rare but very painful type of headache. The name of the headache arises from the fact that the headache pain occurs in clusters. Often, periods of Cluster headaches may last weeks or months. This time period is followed by long periods of no headaches.

Cluster headaches are experienced on one side of the head. Usually the sharp, penetrating pain begins behind an eye. Cluster headaches cause red, teary eyes, a stuffy nose and sometimes symptoms like nausea and sensitivity to light may occur.

These are just a few of the many types of headaches that can be experienced. The pain from the headache can be mild or it can be excruciating in its severity. To find relief from these headaches you must talk with your doctor about treatment or you can buy some over the counter headache pain medication.

Depression and anxiety are said to be the causes of uncontrolled anger. When a person is constantly worried about problems they have no control over or even problems they do have control over, it often causes depression. If you have the feeling, there is no way out then your depression can impact on your life and cause you to sink into a spiral of despair.

Taking charge of your emotions produces good results. If you feel that the world is tumbling down around you, then you are almost definitely thinking negatively, which instigates depression and anxiety. In this short article, we will discuss some techniques to help you to cope with anxiety and depression, thus relieving uncontrollable anger.

First, let us take a look at the symptoms. Do you feel like you are going out of your mind? Do you scream in your head: ‘I can’t take it any more?’. Do you feel like everyone is out to get you? Do you think people view you as mad? If you are suffering any or all of these symptoms then you are probably suffering from some form of anxiety and depression.

If you can not find a way to think differently, then you will probably explode when your emotions soar and your anger bursts forth. Instead of telling yourself that you are out of your mind, why not tell yourself that you are temporarily emotionally disturbed and that you need to resolve the situation. Review all the problem areas carefully and search your memory to see if there are answers to your problems there. Reviewing like this, often opens doors to resources you may have overlooked.

If you feel like someone is out to get you then you may have a chemical imbalance or a mental illness. Why not visit your doctor or a mental health expert to learn more about your symptoms and find a way to regain control over your life. Anxiety and depression can play tricks with your mind but sometimes the thoughts are the result of a chemical imbalance.

If you believe that people consider you are going mad, you may care to remember that most people have their own problems and don’t have time to analyze you as a person. When you walk into a room and think that people are staring at you, you might want to remember that all people watch the things around them, checking to make sure that everything is all right around themselves before returning to their own little lives.

If you feel like you cannot take it any longer, pick up your torture stick and walk another mile. When times are difficult, it does not mean it is the end of the world, although sometimes it may seem this way. If you are struggling to pay bills, fighting to hold a family together, or having difficulty with your children then remember we all have these problems at some time in our lives.

Are your children driving you bonkers? If they are, take a break. Go do something entertaining or exercise. This often relieves the stress that leads to anxiety, depression and anger. Life is too short to worry about the things you do not have control over. If you have problems, the answers are within you, so it pays to review your mind.

If you are really struggling to reach your goals then you might want to break them down into smaller segments and work slowly to achieve them. If you set goals that are within reason, you will not need to get stressed finding a way to reach them.

It is vital to treat yourself each day. Learn some relaxation responses that will benefit both your mind and your body. If you feel overwhelmed, you might want to take deep breaths ten times.

Curling up on a couch to watch your favourite film can benefit your mind and body, if you want to let your mind relax. Learn to concentrate on what you are doing instead of fretting about what you are not doing. This often clears the mind and allows you to relax.

If you are subject to unbridled anger, you will most likely have difficulties for the rest of your life unless you learn to take control of your emotions. Remember that depression leads to uncontrollable anger.

Anxiety and depression are almost certainly the causes of uncontrollable anger. When a person is continuously worried about problems they have no control over or even problems they do have control over, it often results in depression. If you feel that, there is no hope then your depression can affect your life and cause you to sink into a spiral of despair.

Taking control of your emotions usually produces good results. If you feel that the world is falling down around your ears, then you are almost definitely thinking negatively, which brings on depression and anxiety. In this short piece, we will discuss some techniques to empower you to cope with anxiety and depression, thus relieving uncontrollable anger.

First, let’s take a look at the symptoms. Do you feel like you are going mad? Do you shout in your head: ‘I cannot cope any more?’. Do you feel like someone is out to get you? Do you think people see you as a crazy person? If you are suffering from any or all of these symptoms or thoughts then you are probably suffering from anxiety and depression.

If you can not find a way to think in a different mode, then you will probably explode when your emotions start to soar and your anger bursts forth. Instead of telling yourself that you are going mad, why not tell yourself that you are only having a temporary emotional problem and that you need to solve the problem. Review all the problem areas carefully and search your memory to see if there are answers to your problems there. Reviewing like this, often opens doors to resources you may have overlooked.

If you feel like someone is out to get you then you might have a chemical imbalance or even a mental illness. Why not visit your doctor or a mental health expert to learn more about your symptoms and find a way to gain control of your life. Anxiety and depression can trick your mind but sometimes the thoughts are only a result of a chemical imbalance.

If you think that people think you are going crazy, you may want to remember that most people have their own problems and don’t have the time nor the inclination to worry about you as a person. When you walk into a room and think that people are staring at you, you might want to remember that all people watch the things around them, checking to make sure that their surroundings are all right before returning to their own lives.

If you feel like you can take it no longer, pick up your knapsack and walk another mile. When times are difficult, it does not mean it is the end of the world, although sometimes it may seem this way. If you are struggling to pay bills, fighting to hold a family together, or having problems with your kids then remember we all have these problems at some time in our lives.

Are your children driving you nuts? If they are, take a break. Go do something entertaining or exercise. This often relieves the stress that leads to anxiety, depression and anger. Your life is too short to worry about the things you do not have control over. If you have problems, the answers are within you, so it pays to review your mind.

If you are really struggling to reach your goals then you might want to break them down into smaller more realistic segments and work patiently to achieve them. If you set goals that are within reason, you will not need to get stressed out finding a way to achieve them.

It is important to treat yourself every day. Learn some coping responses that will benefit both your mind and your body. If you feel bogged down, you might want to take deep breaths say,ten times.

Stretching out on a sofa to watch your favourite movie can benefit your mind and body, if you want to de-stress yourself. Learn to concentrate on what you are doing instead of worrying about what you are not doing. This often clears the mind and allows you to relax.

If you are subject to sustained anger, you will most probably have problems for the rest of your life unless you learn to take control of your emotions. Remember that depression leads to uncontrollable anger.

Dealing with anger is never easy, since people always have to face problems and reasons for conflict but our anger management technique is crucial. We have to deal with price increases, arguments, war, violence, crime, everyday common stupidity and continuous interruptions. There is not one person in this sometimes difficult world that has not gotten angry at some point.

Anger is an emotion we all have to deal with. Anger comes in many forms, but the root of anger is hatred or frustration as a result of a previous deception or disappointment, which boils down to poor anger management technique. This is true. But, true or not, even in the Bible it says that when the first man and woman were created on the earth, the first noted problem was when the Devil, in the form of a serpent, lied, deceiving Eve. Once the lie became apparent, the world began suffering many problems, including violence, murder, war, shortages, disease, weather disasters and so forth.

Ever since that first famous lie, the world has become more and more unpredictable and continues to worsen as the years roll by. We can examine how a lie can instigate anger by looking at an individual case – a person engaged in criminal activities, such as stealing, writing bad checks, and selling prescription medications. Now this person had to deceive, since she felt that her behaviour and actions were her only possible means of getting through life.

So, she started lying to cover up her crimes. As the years went by, that person became angry and could not cope, solely as a result of the way she was behaving, her way of thinking, her poor anger management technique, the way she was living her life. That person began acting as anyone suffering from uncontrolled anger would act.

This included, demeaning others, insulting others, verbally and physically assaulting, threatening, belittling and mocking others. The woman was diagnosed with mental disorders, Post traumatic Stress Disorder and Bipolar. She also had health problems, including diabetes. Now, if we examine all the aspects of that person’s frustration and anger management technique, we see, if we search deep enough that her lying, which had caused the paranoia, was the root cause of all her behavioral problems.

A lot of people have a problem with their anger management technique. Many of the people with post-traumatic stress disorder behave angrily because they are reacting to a flashback in memory. That is right! People with post traumatic stress disorder often repress their emotions and when they are violent or angered, it is often the result of fighting the sources that caused their trauma and not the person in their immediate vicinity.

But the problem is that, we do not see this as the reason for the woman’s anger, since she did not make the problem public knowledge. Therefore, people would not think of post traumatic stress disorder as the cause, or at least lessen the possibility of it. So, now let’s take a look at diabetes, since this illness has an affect on the nerves. The shortage of insulin creates other problems too, but many people with diabetes will become upset for practically no reason whatsoever.

However, most of us do not act angrily, assault, insult or attack others. We should also look at why crimes are committed and then we would see that it is usually a serious behavioral problem that has come from lying. Therefore, when we look at this individual we have to deal with the underlying problems to stop her from lying and get her to move forward, avoiding episodes of frustration, anxiety and anger by using anger management technique.

Now, the person is in denial, which means that until the legal system makes her take steps in anger management technique, then she probably will not get help herself. In addition, even if the criminal justice system does force her to get help, it probably will not work, since her denial has existed for probably many years. Now we are dealing with a real anger problem, since her behaviour is life long, which means extensive therapy is needed.

Headaches are very widespread amongst people of all ages in both men and women. Sometimes these headaches can be acute and may even take place frequently for lengthy periods of time. The headache might be a ache all over the head or a throbbing pain at one specific point. In some situations, these headaches can be unbearable to such an extent that you cannot carry out your work.

Headache clinics take in patients after a short appraisal of the history of your headaches, asking questions such as: how long you have been having them, the frequency of the headaches and what treatment, if any, you have acquired, and possibly other questions that may be relevant to understanding your headache better. These clinics also offer behavior therapy if required. Most headache clinics offer both inpatient and outpatient treatment.

Furthermore, occasionally headaches can be the sign of a more critical problem such as a brain tumor, and it is best if such cases are diagnosed at an early stage. Your primary care physician can refer you to a well-known headache clinic if you want to receive special treatment for your headaches.

To attend a headache clinic, your headaches do not have to be frequent. Even the occasional, but excruciating headache may necessitate a call. You may require specialist treatment for your headache, so its best for you to see a consultant at one of these headache clinics as soon as convenient.
